tinxx began with our founder's grandmother, trading gemstones across Southeast Asia in the 1970s. Over fifty years of gemstone trading and decades of jewelry manufacturing later, that experience is what sits behind every piece.

The Four C's - And Our Standards
Color
Color refers to the presence or absence of color in a diamond. The scale ranges from D, the most colorless and clear, to Z, where noticeable color appears, typically in shades of light yellow or brown. Even diamonds rated D-G can sometimes display subtle undertones.
Fluorescence refers to a diamond’s reaction to UV light, sometimes causing a blue glow. While this can make lower-color diamonds appear whiter, it can also create a hazy or milky effect in some stones.
Our Commitment
At tinxx, we carefully select diamonds to ensure consistent, high-quality, colorless stones. Stones that exhibit any undertones or fluorescence are immediately rejected. This ensures that your jewelry has a uniform appearance and a harmonious finish.
Cut
Cut is crucial to a diamond’s brilliance. It determines how light interacts with the stone, creating the iconic sparkle everyone desires. Diamonds are graded for cut quality, ranging from Ideal or Excellent to Poor, but even with certifications, an "Excellent" grade doesn’t always guarantee true excellence. This is where expertise makes all the difference.

Through decades of experience, we’ve developed specific proportions and angles that we know bring out the best in each diamond, and each piece is created with these standards in mind. The same care is applied to even the smallest stones, ensuring only the finest are selected.
Clarity
Clarity is determined by the presence or absence of inclusions (internal flaws) and blemishes (surface flaws). Inclusions can be tiny crystals, fractures, or other irregularities formed during a diamond's creation. Clarity is graded on a scale from Flawless (F), no inclusions, to Included (I), where inclusions are visible to the naked eye. Some inclusions are less noticeable, while others can be cleverly hidden through design.

At tinxx, we work only with VS1 diamonds and above, ensuring a flawless appearance to the naked eye. Not all inclusions are created equal, and we’ve developed a keen understanding of which types and placements of inclusions are more favorable, delivering the cleanest results for our clients.
Carat
Carat weight measures a diamond’s weight.

At tinxx, we always aim to optimize carat weight while maintaining ideal ratios respective of each cut, ensuring the diamond looks substantial and visually balanced in the design. We are not afraid to prioritize higher carat weights for the benefit of the design and sparkle.

Solid Gold, Always
18K gold is composed of 75% pure gold, which gives it its warm, saturated color and elegant feel. 14K gold contains 58.3% pure gold, with a higher proportion of alloy metals that add extra strength and resilience for everyday wear. Both are solid, fine gold. 18K offers a richer tone often associated with luxury, while 14K is loved for its durability and versatility. Choose the one that suits the way you live and wear your jewelry.
